The Aiken Hounds have recently made the switch from crossbreds to Penn Marydels. As we are limited to hunting 10 couple of hounds at any one time, we keep approximately 12 couple of hounds. Currently, we have 8 1/2 couple of Penn Marydel and 1 1/2 couple of crossbreds.

AH was very fortunate to have been drafted a number of lovely hounds from Red Mountain, Sedgefield, and Golden's Bridge to help us get started in our new breeding program.

During the summer months, we exercise the hounds in Hitchcock Woods on Tuesday and Friday mornings.



The Aiken Hounds' kennels are located on Dibble Road in Aiken adjacent to the Hitchcock Woods. The kennels were built in 1999 and are dedicated to the memory of Dolly von Stade Bostwick, former Master of the Aiken Hounds and a most devoted hound person.
